CNC sliding headstock turning

Who invented it? For a long time, manufacturers had difficulty producing long, slender, rotationally symmetrical components. Swiss watchmakers invented the sliding head automatic lathe about 150 years ago, whereby the workpiece determined the feed rate and cutting speed. This technology has remained the basis for the production of extremely long and slender components to the present day.

We produce precision-fit turned parts with diameters of 1 to 32 mm and lengths of up to 750 mm. Our CNC sliding head automatic lathes have counter-spindles as well as additional tools for milling operations or for introducing holes and threads outside of the axis of rotation. Modern technology enables the production of complex workpiece geometries and ensures compliance with minimum tolerances (up to IT5) as well as high surface quality. Our range of services also includes thread whirling, deep-hole drilling and burnishing as well as drilling and milling tool holders with infinitely variable angle adjustment.

CNC fixed headstock turning

Regardless of whether you need a small, medium or large series, our mission is to ensure maximum accuracy with simultaneous cost efficiency. We can even produce thin-walled turned parts with multiple inner and outer threads, such as those required frequently in the optics industry, with great experience and high precision.

We supply components made of steel, aluminium, brass, titanium and many other materials, in diameters of 2 to 50 mm. Our CNC machines have drilling and milling tool holders with infinitely variable angle adjustment for the best possible processing.

And whether you need hardening, grinding or anodising operations, together with our long-term partners we guarantee the further processing of your precision-turned parts in top quality.
